The artist discusses with the clients about details of the sittings before she travels to the clients’ location. Sitting consists of a photo session and an optional live sketch/painting session for adult sitters. Painting from life is completely acceptable.

The artist needs to check out setting(s), lighting conditions, clothing, etc. before the photo session begins. After the sitting, the artist returns studio to sort out a selection of photos for the clients to view via email. Clients and artist will engage in discussion to select some photos as key references for the portrait. Once the photos are selected, the artist will proceed to work out the composition and color scheme and then email an image of the painting at the beginning stage should the clients desire to view and approve. The artist may email clients images of the painting at interim stages if necessary.

The artist is willing to submit a digital image for final approval upon request. However, it’s the artist’s belief that reproduced images are often not accurate reflection of the paintings on differently-calibrated computer screens. Therefore, the final approval should be based upon the original works.

In rare cases that paintings need to be modified after shipping, the artist can take a second trip or the painting can be shipped back to the artist for adjustments.

The artist will handle framing upon request.
